Questions people from Shimla ask
Is StrangerYaar really anonymous?
Yes. Strangers only see your random name, face avatar and, if you choose, your state and city. We never show your email, phone number or exact location, and chats with strangers are not saved.
How does matching work?
Add a few interests (like cricket, anime or music) and your location. We first look for someone nearby who shares an interest, then widen the search after a few seconds so you are never left waiting long.
Is StrangerYaar free?
Yes, chatting is free. Optional Premium plans, from a day to a month (one-time payment, no auto-renew), add extras like faster matching, choosing to match with girls or boys, sending photos and a profile photo. Premium needs a saved account.
Is StrangerYaar an Omegle alternative?
Yes. Like Omegle it pairs you with a random stranger for a one-to-one chat, but it is built for India: you can match by interests, state and city, chat in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu and other Indian languages, send voice notes and GIFs, and become friends with people you click with.
