Delete your StrangerYaar account
You can delete your account yourself at any time, right in the app.
In the app
- Open StrangerYaar and go to the Profile tab.
- Scroll to the bottom and tap Delete my account.
- Confirm. Your account is deleted immediately and you are logged out.
Can't open the app?
Email support@strangeryaar.in from the email address you saved your account with, and we'll delete it within 7 days.
What gets deleted
- Your profile: name, avatar, gender, languages, interests and location.
- Your saved email or Google sign-in.
- Your friends and all friend chats, including voice notes and photos.
- Your blocks and notification settings.
What we keep
- Payment records (amount, date and Razorpay reference) for accounting and tax purposes, no longer linked to your account.
- Bans on a device or network, if an account was banned for breaking the rules, so it can't simply be recreated.
- Reports you made or received, with the few messages attached to them, so moderators can still act on abuse. They no longer show your profile.
- Anonymous usage counts (which days an account was active), with nothing that identifies you.
Random stranger chats are never stored, so there is nothing to delete there.
